Types of Allergies
There are several types of allergies including skin allergies (such as dermatitis including eczema), food allergies and respiratory allergies (such as hayfever). Urticaria (or hives) can result from allergies.
It is important to emphasise that food intolerances are different to food allergies. A food allergy is a result of the antibody IgE which reacts to food immediately after ingestion.
Supplements
Daily use of a multivitamin supplemented with additional vitamin C and vitamin B5 (both of which support the adrenal gland to minimise the inflammatory response) help to reduce the symptoms of allergies.
Folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 may also help reduce allergic response.
