Recommended for the treatment of fungal and associated bacterial infections of the skin. Skin infections include athlete's foot, jock itch (dhobie itch) and intertrigo. Daktarin® is also recommended for infected nappy rash. The active ingredient, miconazole, works to destroy the fungus responsible for the skin infection, along with some of the associated bacteria which are typically present in these infections. Additionally, Daktarin® Powder is designed to help dry the skin. Daktarin® Powder can be used separately or in addition to Daktarin® Cream. This product is suitable for use in adults and children of all ages.
Directions For Use
Wash the area to be treated and dry thoroughly.
Dust the powder onto the infected area and surrounding skin.
It may be used on broken skin and is particularly helpful where a drying effect is needed.
The powder can also be sprinkled inside socks, shoes and clothing which are in contact with the infected area.
Wash hands after use.
Daktarin® Powder should be applied to the affected area once or twice daily (e.g. morning and evening).
You should continue to apply the powder until lesions have fully healed.

Product Specific Warnings
This product contains talc.
Do not breathe in the powder as this may cause irritation of the airways. This is especially important for children and infants.
Avoid getting the powder in your eyes.
As many fungal skin infections are very contagious, you should keep a flannel or towel for your own personal use. Do not share this towel with anyone else.
Take care to wash your hands carefully after applying Daktarin® Powder to prevent the spread of infection.
Be sure to frequently change and wash any clothing that comes in contact with the infected area e.g. Socks.
