O.R.S is a soluble tablet that contains a scientifically balanced formula of glucose, electrolytes and essential minerals. When added to water a blackcurrant flavoured oral solution is formed which may be used to replenish the body's water and salts. O.R.S is used by: People who lose excess fluid Professional and recreational athletes Visitors to hot/tropical countries People who are dehydrated due to alcohol consumption People who work in hot climates. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Free from artificial preservatives. Does not contain yeast, gluten or lactose.
Directions For Use
To prepare the solution, add 2 tablets to 200ml of drinking water and allow to dissolve completely (stir if necessary).
Adults and children aged 6 years and over:
Drink 200ml (2 tablets) of solution each time the body's fluid level needs to be maintained.
Children aged under 6 years:
Drink 10ml of solution per kg of body weight each time the body's fluid level needs to be maintained.
Give the required dose in small sips.
Adults should not exceed 24 tablets in 24 hours.
Children should not be given more than 10 tablets in 24 hours.
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using in infants up to the age of 2 years.
Do not store made up O.R.S. solution for more than 8 hours outside of a refrigerator. Can be stored in a refigerator for a maximum of 24 hours.
O.R.S. should not be used to replace a balanced diet.
Active Ingredients
Each O.R.S. tablet when dissolved in a 100ml solution contains:
Glucose 101 mmol/L
Sodium 70 mmol/L
Potassium 20 mmol/L
Chloride 51 mmol/L
Citrate 22 mmol/L

Storage
Store in the original carton in a cool dry place at room temperature.

If symptoms persist after 3 days for adults and after 1 day for children and the elderly, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Avoid alcoholic drink.
O.R.S. should not be used to replace a balanced diet.
Contains aspartame, a source of phenylalanine.
