Product Changes In Packing and Barcodes Result In Substitution

A constant feature of the pharmacy sector is the minor updates to product packing. These changes can result from marketing, regulatory, and minor product changes among many other reasons. The most common reason is marketing.

Changes in products are not notified by manufacturers.  This results in a lot of effort by our team in trying to keep product pages up to date. In the past products pages would have multiple photos. This trend ended due to the overheads associated with identfying when small changes in one part of packaging were making the photos outdated.

Lucan pharmacy will supply the current form of the product when the Product Name and Active Ingredient remain the same. The current form of the product will be substituted where an outdated product photograph or barcode is shown on the website.
