Functions:

  • Known as anti-stress’ vitamin - helps increase production of adrenal hormones to counteract stress.
  • Important for healthy skin and nerves.
  • Important in cellular metabolism of carbohydrates and fats to release energy.

Uses:

  • Relieves fatigue and stress.
  • May be helpful in treating bruxism (grinding teeth at night).
  • Sometimes used as an anti-ageing agent.

Sources: Organ meat (e.g. liver, tongue), brewers yeast, egg yolk, fish, chicken, cheese, peanuts and a variety of vegetables.
