The Irish Heart Foundation report that approximately 10,000 Irish people have a stroke each year and around 2,000 of these die, making stroke the third biggest cause of death in Ireland.

We aim to provide information on the condition and spot warning signs at an early stage to reduce the risk of an adverse event.  We have broken the information into three separate web pages.
